Charge forward ~ Be willing to make mistakes.
Nike would say… “Just Do It…
Wise words… Not so easy to practice.
When I draw a self-care card for the week, I shuffle the deck and set the intention that I will draw the card that will be for my highest good and that of my reader.
So this week’s post is about the one thing that keeps me moving forward ~ FEAR! I am guessing that it is the same for you. So my question for you is this:
Is it fear of failure or fear of success?
For me, it is sometimes both. When I fear success it is because I know that my life will change and I am not sure I want it to. If I fear failure (or how other’s might judge me), I hold myself back and fail to live fully. Nothing changes and I don’t grow.
There are many reasons that we fear and it is not my goal in this post to offer an in-depth analysis of fear. I do, however, invite you to reflect upon what is currently happening in your life. Is fear present? Is it holding you back? Stopping you from making PROGRESS?
Marianne Williamson addresses fear beautifully –
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
If this were your card, what is it saying to you?
