Occupational Therapy: Skills for the Job of LivingI love to share the story of the day I told my husband that I was going to continue my education. I was a stay-at-home-mom attending classes at the local community college to finish up the liberal arts degree I had abandoned more than a few years ago.  Leaning against the counter in my kitchen, three small children at my feet, I said to my husband, “I’d like to go back to school to be an occupational therapist. They have a weekend program at the College of St. Catherine’s in St. Paul.”  He paused for a moment and then replied, “Let’s have another baby.”  I started weekend college the next September.
